A volunteer writes: Shy at first but warming up nicely, Zu is all about the other dogs he meets. Play bowing through the fence at a Chihuahua, and another dog his own size, he wags his tail at all and it’s clear he loves them and is ready to play. He’s a bit shy with people, ducking his head as I reach to pet him, but happy to be out for a walk to go potty. His leash manners are lovely, he checks up often as we walk, and of course, when he sees another dog his tail begins to wag. In the backyard pen he wasn’t interested in playing with a toy, he took a treat gently, and when I had to leave the pen for a few minutes he waited quietly, wagging his tail at my return. Zu is a bit too thin so is looking for a home in which good nutritious food is plentiful, maybe another dog or two to play with, and lots of love from his person. He’s ready to learn that human hands are for petting and love, nothing more. Are you the person to restore Zu’s confidence in us? He’s an awesome dog looking for his forever home.
