A volunteer writes: The comments by Tyla’s former owners before surrendering her are stunning, given the dog is Tyla is here, achingly sad to be out of her home and lying in her kennel with her back to the door, her nose buried in the back corner. She has, apparently, enjoyed the company of another dog, a cat, and a child, exhibits a joyful “high energy level,” is housetrained with nary an accident, crate trained, and knows many a trick. It’s the “high energy level” that confused us, although we had a wonderful glimpse of what she is like in a home when, after a long walk in the park, she threw herself down on the grass to scratch her back. The walk boosted her spirits enough that when she got back into her kennel, she still lay against the back wall–but this time, with her beautiful, gentle visage facing out. We can only imagine how she will blossom in her new forever home, and we cannot wait to hear about the joyful romps this girl is having once she has regained her confidence and belief that all can be right in the world.
