06/27/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/27/15 15:38 Turquoise was found in Claremont park around 2 pm. The finder says that he walked his dog this morning at 7am and saw Turquoise there. He said that when he walked him again in the afternoon, he was still there. He said he brought the dog inside and gave him water. During intake, Turquoise was very friendly and pulled at his leash. He took treats and allowed handling. He did resist. He allowed to be scanned(negative), collaring and posed for his photos. He followed commands and licked my hands. He has a loose body, open mouth, and wagging tail.
07/01/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: “Get a room!” is what a staff person called out to me when she saw Turquoise and I exchanging kisses in a backyard pen! Exuberantly affectionate and friendly, Turq (for short) is all about loving his person, paws in lap and big sloppy kisses. He’s a stunning dog, perfect weight, shining coat, gorgeous markings….quite the head turner! Likely housetrained, Turq ‘went’ as soon as we were out the door and pulls hard on the leash as we walk. He’d benefit from some leash training and/or a harness to make it a more enjoyable experience for both sides of the leash. Off leash in a pen, he greets other dogs appropriately through the gate; an easy tail wag and soft body language was the perfect hello. At intake, staff said he was friendly and licked hands as he was processed in, so it’s no surprise that he aced his behavior assessment indicating he’ll be a good fit in just about any home. He’s a big boy, so if you’re a big dog person, happy to cuddle with this hunk and provide some leash training, ask to meet Turquoise today. And be prepared to get a big kiss!
