04/09/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Another volunteer wrote something very poetic about Browknee on his kennel card…….Angelic!!!!! A heavy angel is our Browknee but this comment is so true about him. This elderly gentleman is a very sweet and gentle chap who goes with the flow . Fifteen years in the same home, with the same family and now a kennel… Still , he is welcoming, puts up a smile and tells his arthritis to shush so he can accompany us to the park or around the block. May be he knows that exercise will unrust his joints…Indeed, each stroll got him to walk faster and faster. Nice is super house trained and extremely courteous with other dogs, even the worse yappers. He is a well mannered dog who has class and is a ” born” family dog. He loves caresses and kisses. I think he was loved and certainly most outstandingly cared for by his former owners. He is overweight, sure. He has arthritis, yes. He has a few lipomas here and there, granted. But he looks like he is coming out of a grooming salon…. We all are in love with this guy who, sadly, after so many years of service, was surrendered because of housing issues. He comes with stellar recommendations that we approved with our own observations and behavioral evaluation. We are all rooting for Nice who deserves to spend the rest of his life respected, cared for and loved with the following prescription: lots of walks and a proper diet. Will you be Browknee’s hero? He needs you right now.
