Upon intake Jamie was cautious of the kennel rope but quickly became loose and receptive to introduction and handling. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Jamie walked well on leash and is responsive to guidance.

Jamie came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. Upon intake Jamie was cautious of the kennel rope but quickly became loose and receptive to introduction and handling, Jamie walked well on leash and is responsive to guidance. During SAFER Jamie was loose and wiggly entering the assessment room, sensitivity he had soft body with his ears relaxed and tail down, tag-interaction he was easily over aroused and mouths the rope but quickly de-escalates. When both paw squeezes was attempted he didn’t respond but showed no signs of aggression. Food and toy item he displayed minimal interest, rawhide item he showed no interest. The behavior department feels Jamie can go to an “average ‘adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, easily over aroused but quickly de-escalates, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. He will correct inappropriate behavior. 5/31 Update Jamie is tolerant when engaging in play with a vocal player and is bouncy during play. 6/4 update: Jamie is social and a bit bouncy but is more interested in exploring his surroundings.
