05/24/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/24/15 11:36 Erebus A1037391 was found wandering the streets of the Bronx near the Bronx Zoo. The finder reported that as soon as Erebus saw them and they opened up their car door Erebus hopped right in and sat down. Erebus was easy to handle, he did appear a little nervous at first but warmed up a bit and posed for pictures and allowed us to collar & scan (pos.) him.
05/28/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I feel so superficial saying this, but Oreo makes my knees weak. His markings are superb: two white speckled tube socks, matching anklets, chest bib and perfectly symmetrical face mask. His expression is mischievous, his smile and body are broad. With tiny marred ears, Oreo’s boulder-sized head looms even larger. First impression: Oreo is a jock, albeit a well dressed one. But look again! On our get-to-know-you walk, Oreo is no bulky macho man. Instead, I feel like I am partnered with a graceful stranger at a masquerade ball. Oreo dances with me perfectly. He moves spiritedly alongside as we glide through the park, keeping perfect pace. He mostly has eyes for me, gazing earnestly into mine, checking in often to tease me with his attention. Oreo is so polite, responsive, and sweet-tempered that I am easily swept off my feet. This is no dog, this is my afternoon date: Oreo the charmer. That’s one side… then there’s Oreo the professional athlete. The minute he notices the small round object in my hand, our love affair is put on hold and my purpose is to THROW THE BALL! No more dancing, now it’s game on. This boy can fetch, focus, and feast on a ball like it’s no one’s business. He relishes the game and enjoys having a companion to encourage him. After he tries unsuccessfully to get two balls in his mouth, he holds one in the grip of his tasteful tube socks and delightfully coats the other with generous froth. Hearty, dynamic, sophisticated, social. In addition to being the whole package, Oreo is likely housetrained, and seems to love the company of other dogs, his body wiggling nonstop at those we pass. If your active household is looking for a solid playmate and loyal companion (embodied in a perfectly tailored outfit!), then look no further. Oreo is the young renaissance man for you!
