05/27/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jim came into the care center as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. Upon arrival to the care center Jim was reported to be friendly and easy to handle. He was also reported to be friendly but very energetic during his medical exam. During SAFER Jim was very sociable towards the assessor and was very attention seeking. He maintained a relaxed body posture during all handling items, and was excitable but playful during the tag interaction. During the resources portion of the assessment, Jim was easy to handle when engaged with the food and rawhide items, and only showed minimal interest in the toys. Jim appears to be sociable and did not exhibit any behavioral concerns, so the department feels Jim can be suitable for an “Average” experienced adopter. Look: 2.
