A VOLUNTEER WRITES:

Fubu is a young and active dog surrendered into our care as his master did not have time anymore to accommodate and train a youngster. Fubu would be friendly to children, dogs and strangers, house trained , loyal to his family and very playful. Pets are wonderful, just like kids, but they also are a big responsibility and take time and commitment….Fubu is a good looking boy whose ancestry is not clear to me.He could pass for a Pitie but there is something else about him… His former master says that he is a cross between a Lab and a Viszla. Fubu is ready to fly out of his upper kennel. Freedom is what he wants, stretch his long legs and have fun. He is quite a handsome young man with a well groomed coat but rather on the thin side which might explain why he is mighty hungry.Once  treated to a good meal, he follows me like a shadow  making pictures taking very difficult. His curiosity is healthily picked by the arrival of another dog in an adjacent pen. You will have your chance, Fubu. You will go to playgroup too…Fubu can sit on command, pulls on the leash and indeed shows me his house training skills.He comes right away when called and likes to be petted or have his back scratched.A nice smile lights up his face when he relaxes. It’s tough to have been a beloved pet and find oneself as one in a million….Let’s hope that soon enough, Fubu will find his match…a new owner or family who will make him their forever and ever best friend. Fubu is at the Manhattan Care Center.
