10/18/15 14:21 Basic Information: Friday is a 2 year old male Shih Tzu who was given to his previous owner as a gift two months ago. Social Life and Personality: Around children ages 6 and up Friday is aggressive and snaps. He is also aggressive around other dogs and while aggressive he would bark. He is house-trained and rarely has accidents. His activity level is high and he can be described as playful, confident, excitable, affectionate, and friendly. Behavior Issues: If Friday was eating and someone touched his food bowl he would move back from the bowl fearfully but wouldn’t growl or bark. He was friendly if someone took a treat or toy away from him. If he’s pushed off the furniture, given a bath, having his coat brushed or being held/ restrained he is also friendly. If someone approached his previous home he would bark. He isn’t bothered if an unfamiliar person approached his previous owner or if he was disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Friday can sit on command. For exercise he went on brisk walks 4 times a week. When left alone in the home he would destroy house-hold items but previous owner did not state what he has destroyed. When off leash Friday would wander but come when called. During storms/fireworks Friday gets nervous. At night he slept on the floor. Behavior during Intake: Friday allowed me to collar him; he sat, and jumped up for treats. When I went to touch his stomach he got stiffed, looked up and me and growled.
