05/06/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Miss Diamond loves to meet new people, approaching all with a wagging tail, smiling face and cheerful exuberance. Surrendered by her elderly owner who has medical problems and can no longer take care of her, we’re told that Diamond knows ‘sit’, ‘down’ ‘stay’, loves baths and likes to be brushed, has been around children and is relaxed and tolerant of them, is on “perfect behavior” when left in the house alone, and greets all people with a wiggly body, wagging tail and a great smile. Diamond lived with her person since she was a baby, so this is a huge change for her and she’s doing well. While a bit anxious understandably, she’s super friendly and tail waggy as her former owner states. She’s also been trained to go potty inside on newspaper — a big bonus on rainy days!! Clearly much loved and well taken care of, her coat is clean and groomed, her weight good for her size. She takes treats gently and gives me a big smile as a thank you. Someone stopped in the park to watch our photo shoot and Diamond greeted him with a wagging tail and an enthusiastic hello. She’s such a sweetheart!! Diamond has an active and enthusiastic curiosity, is thrilled for some exercise and some love. She’s at that perfect age, no more young dog crazies, but still young at heart and ready to get up and go! Diamond is a terrific girl ready to start the next chapter in her life with a new person or family. Will you be that lucky person?
