A volunteer writes: Be still my heart…….what a handsome fellow! Gorgeously groomed in his slate grey coat, his weight is perfect for his size, his eyes sparkle with intelligence and fun, and he’s responsive to his person. I first met Zilo in group play where he greets others well, is social and roams the pen, and may do better with females rather than males. A playgroup of “smalls” was in an adjoining pen and Zilo wagged his tail in easygoing friendship as they came to the gate to investigate this “big dog”. Joining us with his housemate Pillow (A1051758) when their owner lost his home, Zilo is handling his change in circumstance quite well. Friendly and enthusiastic, he joined me on the bench for some hugs and kisses, and then showed off nice leash manners when we took a walk. Zilo sits for a treat which he takes gently all the while wagging his tail. He’s a terrific dog who is looking for a new BFF. Is it you?
