Tango pulls hard on leash. He was stiff and uncomfortable during the handling. Tango was freezes during the look item He stands upright with his weight centered on all fours, his ears are up and forward, and his head and neck are erect. His gaze is directed toward the assessor. For safety reason we decided to skip the handling part of the assessment. During the resources Tango did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. He was not interested in toys or rawhide. Tango approaches the helper dog with his tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed. Tango was surrender to us. According to his previous owner he used to live with two adults but the owner stated that he never socialize with strangers. The owner mentioned that he lived with cats and dogs and they get along but around other animals he will ignores them. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
