Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Silva came into our center after police found her on the street fighting with another dog. She walked nicely for her relief walk, no pulling. Silva was friendly and sociable upon entering the SAFER assessment room. She pulled out of assessor’s hands during Look item, did not settle and kept laying on the floor, body soft. Silva leaned into assessor during Sensitivity item, body soft. She was a bit distracted and unresponsive during Tag game, but settled easily at end. Silva did not pull her paw back on both Squeeze attempts, licking assessor’s hand. She lifted her head out of the Food bowl easily when assess-a-hand was applied to her cheek. Silva relinquished Toy easily while playfully engaging. She settled with Rawhide and kept loose body. Silva approached helper dog with relaxed body, tail at spine level. Dur to the nature of her intake, Silva must be placed with a New Hope partner. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1.
