12/17/15 11:04 Behavior during intake: This dog was friendly during intake. He allowed me to pet him on the head and back. He came to me and rested his head in my lap. He allowed me to collar him and he sat for his picture. The dog did pull on the leash while walking.
12/22/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Between the head tilts, the play bows, and the just looking so darned cute pictures…I finally narrowed it down. Besides the fact that Royale rocks his coat, his fun, friendly and tail waggy personality and puppy walk on leash elicits oooohs and ahhhhs from passersby. He accepts the accolades with humble puppy personality as his tail wags more. He’s gorgeous, his markings a colorful blend of golds, bronzes and browns, and his little furrowed brow makes us all want to cuddle him and smooth away the wrinkle. He poses for pictures, puts his head up to listen to the birds chirp, takes treats gently, loved playing with a plush toy, and play bowed to both the toy and me over and over. In group with other dogs he engages in typical mouthy, puppy play with both males and females. It’s fun to watch him explore the world as I see it all anew through his eyes. He seems to say, “show me the world, teach me to be a great adult dog, and I’m ready to do it all with you by my side.” Meet our little guy whose behavior assessment indicates he’ll be a good fit in most homes and take him home today.
