09/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Rocky came to us as an owner surrender on 9/26/15. It was reported by the owner that Rocky has been socialized with other dogs, cats and adults. He was described as relaxed, respectful and tolerant and will interact with them in a gentle affectionate and well behaved manner. The owner did state that initially Rocky is aloof and nervous when meeting strangers and will continue in this manner until he becomes comfortable with them. In addition it was reported that Rocky will growl when being restrained or held. Rocky was very aloof when entering the behavior department and was not interested in interacting with the assessor. He was actively avoiding the assessor and did not settle for the look item. He allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items, but had stiff, fearful, and trembling body language during some of these items. Rocky did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. He displayed no interest in either of the toy or rawhide items on this portion of the assessment. Due all of the information collected the behavior department believes that Rocky would do best if placed in a home with no children. Look: 3.
