Princess is a senior stunner, 15 years old but spry and very well cared for, the kind of dog who still garners oohs and ahhs of admiration wherever she goes. Just like a big black teddy bear she’s so calm, friendly and plush you’ll want to bury your face in her fur…and she’d let you too! Princess lives up to her name with a high-stepping regal walk and she’s such a pleasure on leash, never pulling and always taking care of all her business promptly. Though she is definitely a ‘people dog’ and doesn’t like the company of fellow canines, we can pass them in the street or the hall with ease and her gentle manners make every kind of handling a breeze. Surrendered to our care when her owner was evicted, like most Chow Chows Princess was extremely loyal to her person and no doubt losing him was a heavy blow. She’s lived a sheltered life with only adult friends to socialize with and while she may be a bit shy initially, it doesn’t take long before she’s coming when called (she knows sit, stay and down commands too!) and accepting all the snuggles and petting I care to offer. Princess may have been let down but she’s not ready to give up on finding her happy ending just yet and with a quiet home and a loving family by her side she’ll live out her golden years in the style she deserves, pampered, happy and content.
