04/18/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Plazi walks calmly on leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Plazi was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. Plazi approached other dog with friendly/playful body language. Plazi was surrender to us. according to his previous owner he is unpreditable”. At the shelter Plazi did not show any concern. because of his owner profile the behavior department feels that he can go to an Experienced adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. A shelter staff member writes:
Plazi is a gorgeous dog who’s had a tough time finding his forever home. He needs a stable environment where he can really grow into an awesome dog. An experienced dog according to our behavior evaluation, it’s best if Plazi can find a kind owner who will have some experience to help him become the rockstar that he is inside. Plazi is developing some pneumonia that needs to get checked out as quickly as possible so he can get all better again. Are you going to be the one to give this cuties all the love and care he deserves? Come to MACC and find out?
