A volunteer writes:
I found a pretty fox in an arrival kennel. She is looking at me , calm, one foot over the other. Her tail starts waging when she sees me approaching. Minerva is leashed easily and off we leave for the street where she attends right away to business. Minerva strolls nicely by my side. She nears two other large dogs uneventfully. She is a big tail wagger . Whenever i glance at her, here it goes, faster and faster. Free in a pen, Minerva aims right away for my goodies bag…She is hungry, much too thin. All her ribs are showing under a gorgeous rusty color coat. Surprisingly, when I offer her some roast beef, she does not snatch it from my hand but even sits for it. We are clearly friends now. Without me asking, Minerva comes on my lap, rubs herself to me and gives me kisses galore. She is quite obedient, comes when called , sits on command and stays put when i am taking pictures of her. It’s great when one does not have a fast speed camera. Minerva is a very pretty young gal, a little shy(but she barely arrived at the care center), friendly, a good listener and very affectionate. Come and meet her at the Manhattan Care Center. Her big velvety eyes will be all on you..Take me home, take me home. I so would love to be your forever best friend.
