11/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mega came to us as a stray on 11/25/15. He was very interested in interacting with the assessor when entering the behavior room with very soft body language. He did not settle for the look test and pulled out consecutively three times. He became easily over aroused during the tag interaction grabbing the leash with stiff body language, and did not de-escalate quickly. Mega proved easy to handle when chewing on the toy item maintaining soft body language, but did not relinquish it to the assessor. Due to the behavior demonstrated during the tag test the behavior department believes that Mega would do best is placed with and Experienced adopter with no young children. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, and open mouth. Tag: 3. Dog initially joins game but becomes quickly over aroused, mouthing the leash very strongly with stiff body language. Dog does not de-escalate quickly. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed or back. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed or back. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Mega greets politely and may attempt to solicit play. He is sexually motivated but may engage in brief bouts of play in between attempts to mount.
