Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lionel was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment. He was shy and nervous and trembled during handling, with a fearful body language. He becomes extremely frightened during the tag interaction, tail tucked, and trying to exit room. Lionel was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. He was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Lionel was not very sociable he was shy and nervous. This dog is somewhat fearful, he is afraid of the shelter environment. He leans so that his center of gravity is over his rear legs to permit a hasty retreat, Lionel might look directly at the source of his fear or he might look away. The muscles of his body and face are tense and rigid. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter.
