A volunteer writes:
Did someone order a delicious meatball?!! Bugsy is mushy, easy-going and cute as an oversized button and from the day he was born in his former owner’s home he’s been nothing but friendly with the kids, his little doggie sibling and even the cat who lived there with him. Described as relaxed and playful, we’re told he’s good with strangers of all shapes, sizes and species and he loves chasing after balls, frisbees, plushies, squeaky toys — you name it and Bugsy will fetch it! Zero handling issues or guarding behaviors and he also knows ‘sit’ and how to ‘go home’ to his crate when it’s time for bed. Basically, Bugsy is the perfect family pet! He does pull hard on leash but free in a pen he’s all about the petting and socializing, gently ambling between snuggles at my side and kissing his puppy pals through the fence. His adorably floppy jowls are really something to see (and smoosh) and he’s happy to let me rub him all over as a sunny smile breaks across his gorgeous face. Bugsy is so chill that during his initial intake at the Care Center he rolled over for belly rubs! Naturally he aced his behavior assessment with great scores on almost everything and though he loves his food and refused to stop eating from his bowl when pushed, I can feed him treat after treat from my hand with no grabbing at all. If you’re an active, affectionate family searching for a pet who’ll match you jump for jump and hug for hug then Bugsy is the marvelous meatball you’ve been waiting for, ask to meet him today!

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]

Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

*We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
