08/19/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: All hail the King of…well, everything! King ticks all the boxes on the great dog checklist; he’s handsome, friendly, smart, playful, obedient, gentle, affectionate and simply the perfect pet for any active family. Dressed to impress in a flawless brindle ‘mask’ and adorable white slippers, King is truly stunning and more than one head turns to admire the royal procession as we hustle down the street. He seems to be very house trained and pulls a bit on leash in his puppy-like enthusiasm for everyone he sees, meeting dogs and people of all sizes with a frantically wagging tail and a sunny smile. Once free in the yard King’s all about ball fetching and play-bowing, waiting patiently for my throw before dashing or jumping after his prize and quickly returning to my side, letting me take it right from his mouth with ease. Coming when called, staying on command and enjoying a full body massage are all second nature to this good boy and once he’s tuckered out by plenty of play time it’s easy to imagine him nestled inside a big ol’ group hug on the family couch. King was a star during his behavior exam and earned near-perfect ratings right across the board and he’s already neutered and ready to head for home as soon as possible. So gather your clan together and hurry in for a play date with the most down-to-earth royal you’ll ever meet, King can’t wait to meet you!
