07/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
7/16 Upon intake Joey was reported to have friendly body language and to allow handling. However, starting at the time of his initial medical examination he has displayed strong leash-biting behavior and did not allow the medical handler to remove him from this kennel. This behavior was also seen when approached for his SAFER evaluation: Joey grabbed the leash immediately upon placement into the kennel and his attention could not be redirected with squeaky toys or with food. Due to this behavior Joey is not a candidate for a SAFER assessment at this time. We have no information on Joey’s behavior in his previous home.
