08/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jake walks calmly on leash. She was stiff and did not show social behavior during the assessment. Jake was uncomfortable with handling; her hair was standing up along his back. He wrinkles her muzzle to expose her front teeth and preparing to lunge forward. We decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Jake was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. She does not approach other dog, attempts to exit. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 5. tries to bite. Food: 1. No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. Turns body to side in relation to other dog, or exits.
