10/02/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Hailey does not wag her tail…She is not scared, though. She even seems quite content to be in company. She knows to sit on command and for treats. She seems to like to be petted and talked to. She stays around me like I am the source of all things good…Wagging tail means excitement, what ever it is…May be Hailey does not expect or anticipate more than what she gets at the moment…That is why she came at the right place..She was found abandoned in a park, a little gal, skin and bones with a soul older than her body. She is pretty, dressed in the darkest chocolate coat. Her eyes are beautiful and never leave mine. They seem to be made of gold and brown enamel. All her ribs are showing and her back is slightly bent. Bailey walks nicely on the leash and even does her business as soon as we reach the street. She nears peacefully other dogs. Hailey needs TLC big time..She will be thankful forever and a loyal companion to the one who will give her a chance , the chance to be a beloved pet…Hailey is at the Manhattan Care Center. I hope that soon enough, a miracle will happen for Hailey.. A volunteer adds: And I said thatHailey did not wag her tail….That is history. Hailey has learned in a very short time to expect the love of her caretakers and zooms to her door when she sees one of us at her door. She knows what is coming next : treats, caresses, kisses, all what a pet expected from a human. Sweet Hailey had likely a very tough life but she is resilient. Her face shows now a smile and her tail is wagging non stop…She knows what to do when I sit on a bench… Lap time!!!!! There is no doubt in our minds that Hailey will bloom in loving hands. Be the one who will show her the way to happiness.
