08/25/15 19:17 Gucci is a 5 year old white female american bulldog who is being surrendered due to family issues. Gucci has been with the family almost 5 years. Gucci lives with 1 adult and 1 other dog that is an american bulldog as well. Gucci is tolerant and quiet with children. On leash walks Gucci is reported to walk well and is responsive to guidance. When encountering dogs on walks Gucci will seek introduction for play. She is indifferent to cats. Gucci is house broken and does not have accidents inside. Gucci enjoys a bath and being brushed. Gucci does not guard her food toys or treats. Gucci does not mind a bear hug. Gucci does not have toys and is described as mellow by the owner. When the owner is home she likes to be where they are. When home alone she is well behaved. Gucci eats dry food. Upon intake Gucci was receptive to introduction and loose for all handling. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) collar and photograph.

Gucci previously lived with 1 adult and 1 other dog. The owner stated Gucci is tolerant and quiet with children and seek attention for play with other dogs, she is indifferent to cats. The owner mentioned Gucci is house broken and well behaved when home alone. The owner describes Gucci as mellow. At intake Gucci was receptive to introduction and loose for all handling. During SAFER Gucci came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, she was friendly playful towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Gucci joins the game during tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Gucci was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Gucci appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels she can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, and she has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Dog might jump on Assessor once play begins. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw, licks hand. Food: 1. Dog calmly allows the food to be moved, follows the dish, but does not interfere with the dish’s movement. Dog’s body is soft and loose, eyes soft, tail neutral. She lifts her head when hand is pushed against his cheek. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog licks, then turns away. Rawhide: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the rawhide. Dog-to-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Gucci will briefly sniff the other dogs before moving off to explore her surroundings.
