A volunteer writes:
Stunning Foxx is with us as his owner hit on hard times. He is such a gentle dog but so lost and tucked in his kennel like a Bernard l’Hermite in his shell. Foxx is compliant, though and gets up when he sees the leash and hears some encouraging words. He walks beautifully by my side and eliminates without marking as soon as we reach the yard. What an unusual dog he is ! His ears are like wings framing his fox red face.He seems to have been so  well cared for.Healthy looking, a great weight and mostly a gorgeous coat, so silky to the  touch. Foxx is collected, calm, wags a little his tail at the sight of another dog and appreciates my caresses. He lets me clean his eyes and kiss his forehead.  Feeling comfortable with me, Foxx comes when I call him and sits, leaning softly on me.He  needs lots of hugs… Foxx has been here for a few days now and has remained a lovely and well mannered dog one would want to spend hours and hours with.  He is beautiful and just a wonderful pooch who needs a home and a master to get back a smile on his face. Foxx is at the Manhattan Care Center..
