12/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper dog: A1059793 Citgo came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in home are unknown. During Citgo medical exam he was very frighten, cowering with his tail tucked and attempted to snap during the exam. During SAFER Citgo came into the assessment room nervous and fearful with his tailed tucked, he was not interested with the assessor, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Citgo freezes and growls when attempting to collar him. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. When on leash for a dog interaction with another dog on leash Citgo rushes in the room with his body stiff, tail well above spine and lip licks. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: 3. Dog approaches the helper dog by rushing in with his tail high, stiff body, head tall, and ears erect.
