I am a female brown and white pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 9 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 12/10/2015 from NY 11203, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-042007.

12/10/15 09:44 Basic Information: Biscuit is a 9 year unaltered pit-bull mix. She was given as a gift 9 years ago and owner believes she has no health issues. Biscuit was surrender due to personal problems. Social Life and Personality: Biscuit lived with three adults and been around a teenager throughout the 9 years. Owner stated she is respectful and playful towards everyone in the household. Biscuit lived with another dog name Chickey A1060100 which is her daughter. Owner stated Biscuit is playful and relaxed towards Chickey and possibility bonded. Biscuit is mostly indoors and activity level is to a medium. Owner describes Biscuit as playful, affectionate, mellow and friendly. Behavior: Biscuit has never bitten anyone owner stated. He stated Biscuit often barks when unfamiliar people comes to the house or approach a family member. Biscuit is friendly when owner touch her food bowl or takes toys/treats away from her mouth. He likes to take baths and be brushed. Biscuit never had a nail trim and isn’t hard to restrain. For a New Family to Know: Biscuit is trained to use the bathroom in yard only twice a day. She knows commands such as sit, get it, and come. Biscuit likes to play fetch with a ball and tug with stuffed toys. Biscuit was crate-trained but doesn’t need it now. She is well behaved when home alone and tends to follow owner around the house. Biscuit eats dry food called Pedigree twice a day. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Biscuit was loose body but whining. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

12/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE

Biscuit appears to be dog defensive. While she shows no overt aggression, she is uncomfortable when around other dogs (Please see ‘GroupBehavior’ entry for more details). We recommend she go to an experienced home that understands her potential issues with other dogs and we also recommend a home with no other dogs at this time. 12/12 SAFER: Biscuit previously lived with 3 adults and has been around a teenager throughout the 9 years and another dog. The owner stated she is respectful and playful towards everyone in the household. Biscuit is playful and relaxed towards the other dog in the house. The owner mentioned Biscuit is house trained, crate trained, has a medium activity level and well behaved when home alone. The owner describes Biscuit as playful, affectionate, mellow and friendly. At intake it was reported Biscuit has loose body language but would also whine, she allowed all handling. During SAFER Biscuit came into the assessment room loose and wiggly, she was friendly and attention seeking towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Biscuit was relaxed but vocal during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Biscuit was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog smells, then turns away.
12/12/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE

When off leash with other dogs, Biscuit hard barks and snaps at the other dog when greeting at the gate so she is muzzled. Once in the pen, she is initially distracted by the muzzle but does let the dog approach her briefly. Eventually she becomes uncomfortable and defensive, hard barking at the other dog and when he attempts to re-approach her she will growl and snap at him.

Scanned negative BARH – comfortable with people, tail wags, allows all handling – DOG AVERSIVE. F~ 9 years Ears, eyes nose, mouth/teeth clean Small healed abrasions on top of head with accompanying alopecia. Coat clean. No flea dirt or parasites noted. Nails long – trimmed. One nail bled slightly from clipping. NOSF
