07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Casino came to us as a stray on 6/25/15. When entering the behavior room Casino was more interested in the environment than interacting with the assessor. She allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items without displaying any signs of aggression. She was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. Casino proved easy to handle when chewing on the toy test, and only displayed minimal interest in the rawhide on this portion of the assessment. The behavior department believes that Casino can go to a home with an average amount of dog experience. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her body posture is a bit tense; her tail is low and not moving. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (needs coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with her tail down, body likely a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Casino is playful with a male but is selective and status seeking when introduced to a female. When she engages in play, she is very vocal and vocalizes with high pitched squeals during play.
06/30/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Casino is playful with a male but is selective and status seeking when introduced to a female. When she engages in play, she is very vocal and vocalizes with high pitched squeals during play. 7/1 Update Casino tries to solicit for play from social and playful males and is respectful when play is not reciprocated. When she is standing on the bench she displays guarding behavior when another dog approaches.
