I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/30/2015 from NY 11212, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Madonna was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, low wag. She was calm and relaxed throughout handling. She remained calm and relaxed when playing tag with the assessor. She did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Madonna showed no interest in toys or rawhide. Madonna was brought to the care center as a stray; upon intake she had a soft body and was docile. She remained friendly and social toward the assessor throughout the assessment; she showed no concerning behavior. The Behavior Department feels Madonna can go to an average home. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food 1. Dog calmly allows the food to be moved, follows the dish, but does not interfere with the dish’s movement. Dog’s body is soft and loose, eyes soft, tail neutral. She lifts her head when hand is pushed against her cheek. Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Madonna is social and may engage in brief bouts of running play when solicited. She is a potential group helper dog.

She displays some anxious behavior in the yard. 7/2 Update Madonna does well with other dogs and good with males and females.
