PROFILE:
Basic Info:
Cashmere is a 6 1/2 year old female who has no known injuries but does have a skin allergy that has caused most of her fur to be lost and does have a history of ear infections.. She was surrendered to the shelter because owner could not afford the medical she requires.
Social Life and Personality:
She has been around children ages 1 and 3 and was relaxed, playful, and respectful of them. She would play gentle but mostly looked for affection. She has not been around other dogs or cats so her behaviors are unknown. She ishouse trained, kept mostly indoors, and has a medium level of energy.
Behavior:
She has never bitten anyone or any animal before. She is not bothered when owner would touch or take away food bowl and is not bothered and when toys were taken away she is friendly. When told to get off furniture she is not bothered and will get off quickly. She enjoys getting a bath and will not try to escape. She is not bothered when brushed. When unfamiliar people approach the house or family member she will be relaxed, approached with soft body, and sniff them.
New Family Info:
She knows the commands sit, wait, and stay. She is used to brisk walks on leash 2 times a day. She will play with any toys given to her but she will easily destroy them requiring her to have stronger rubber toys. She has not been crate trained and will go to the bathroom on grass. At home she followed owner around the home and when left home alone she is well behaved. She is afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder and will cause her to bark and pace around but does not try to escape or hide. She was fed dry food and slept on a blanket on the floor.
Intake Behavior:
During intake allowed all handling without aggression. When scanned was negative for a microchip and when given treat would sniff while in hand but did not eat unless placed on floor. When touched she has soft body and would respond to the sit and stay command.
