07/08/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Surrendered by the only family he has ever known, when asked what their favorite thing about him is, we were told that he’s good with kids and obedient. They went on to say that Bullet loves to socialize, is mellow and affectionate, housetrained when walked 2 x per day, is well behaved when left home alone, and likes to follow his person around the house. He’s playful and respectful with kids, aware of his size. He has been around other pit bulls and is playful and respectful of them as well. What a rockstar resume!! I so enjoyed my time with Bullet as he showed off his housetraining skills and how great he walks on leash. He’s slow and easy, gentle and soft, giving kisses, lying at my feet when I sat down to take some notes. Quiet, calm, and such a perfect oasis in the midst of a day full of barking dogs, he’s so happy to be chosen for a walk his eyes light up and his tail wags. We stopped to take some photos in the park and Bullet didn’t mind being tethered, sat when I asked him to (his former owner says he knows ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’ and ‘stay’) and took treats ever so gently. He’s a polite greeter in group and his style and demeanor varies with the dog he is with. He’s an awesome dog, my favorite of the day and I look forward to seeing him again. Mostly, I look forward to kissing him goodbye and watching him wag his tail out the door with his new person. I wish it could be me, but I’ll be happy if it’s you. Come meet him today.
