07/28/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/28/15 16:05 Bluebell was found tethered under a train bridge. She cowered each time a train passed. Her finder kept her in his basement overnight. He reports that she’s friendly with people and went potty on walks, not inside. Bluebell had a soft body and wagging tail during intake handling-scan (-), switching collars, positioning for pictures, taking in and out of kennel. She jumped up on and pulled towards her finder. Once he left, she sat next to/against me and on my feet. Her mouth was open and her eyes were squinty while I pet her. She walked nicely on her leash. She stood up and leaned against the van with her front legs and allowed me to lift her up from behind.
08/02/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Little Bluebell was found abandoned under a train bridge and sheltered overnight by a good samaritan who had only good things to say about her. Indeed, Bluebell is a modest medium size gal who does not make much waves, goes with the flow and is so easy going that she is often seen with volunteers strolling in the streets around the care center or in Jefferson Park. She has a sweet and gentle face, big brown eyes asking for love and giant ears begging for soothing words…She walks very nicely on the leash, does her business at once and nears other dogs in a very civil way. Free in a pen, she rather stays around me, sits on command and for treats and comes on the bench for cuddle time. Bluebell is such a doll, a real therapy moment for a tired and overheated volunteer. I really like her. I bet that she would make a gentle and warm companion if she is given the chance to meet the person who dreams to own a simple good dog…Bluebell is at the Manhattan Care Center, hoping to meet you soon.
