A volunteer writes: Like the flower after which she is named, Azalea is small and a delight to hold in one’s hands. Sitting in a top kennel she caught my eye letting me know she’s ready for a walk and lets me lift her out easily and off we go. She walks beautifully on the leash, a quick little strut, and goes potty as soon as we’re out the door. Her coat is shiny, she’s a good weight for her size, her tail wags as she walks and she’s friendly to everyone we meet. Off leash she explores the pen and is camera shy so it’s hard to get a good picture of her. Found as a ‘stray’, it’s clear she had a home all this time. She needs medical attention for a large mass on her belly but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She enjoys company, going for walk and being cuddled and is hoping her forever someone is just around the corner. We hope so too.
