Medical Summary S: Calm and easily handled O: Scan: negative Sex: female intact Appearance: QAR, ~5% dehydrated Integument: ~20cm x10cm mammary tumor on the caudal abdomen with ~6cm diameter necrotic center that has abscessed out and is open, no visible maggots but wound not explored with animal awake, normal nails EENT: OU clear, AU clean, No nasal d/c Oral cavity: MM pink, CRT <2sec, severe dental tartar PLN: WNL H/L: No murmur or arrhythmias, Lungs clear ABD: Soft non painful, no palpable masses or organomegaly, deep palpation limpited by mammary tumor U/G: female intact, no discharge M/S: Amb x 4, no appreciable lameness Neuro: NSF A: Necrotic mammary tumor-r/o benign vs. malignant dental disease P: e-collar always, Clavamox 13mg/kg PO q24, Tramadol 100mg (4.4mg/kg) PO Q12, needs immediate NH plea, deadline of tomorrow 5m as animal is suffering from rotting tumor, if placed, will require immediate surgical evaluation to see if surgical removal is a possibiltiy given the extent of the tumor, need thoracic radiographs and abdominal ultrasound to assess tumor spread Prognosis: poor
