04/05/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: There is something captivating about Zumba, a compact young lady sporting a lovely coat of cafe au lait. Maybe it’s her adorable chocolate brown eyes or her thumpty-thump wagging tail; whatever it is, it’s magic! Calm and collected, she strides with a certain purpose in her steps, pausing every now and then to investigate her new surroundings. Other dogs seem to intrigue her, as she’s quick to check out her neighbors in her outdoor play pen; yet she’s a good girl who comes when called and then leans in close, a gentle presence by my side. Zumba’s past is a mystery but it appears that she’s been a mother recently; it also seems she’s had some training as she sat nicely for treats and went potty as soon as we were outside. She’s a fine walker at the park, ignoring the squirrels and birds that appear in her path. Zumba is an intriguing young lady, a bit shy but so ready for new adventures in life. Won’t you invite Zumba to be part of your family today?
