06/19/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: You may know Zeppoli as a delicious fried dough dessert but our own sweet Zeppoli would certainly give them a run for their money in the just-can’t-get-enough-of-that-sugar department! She’s so calm and unassuming, a little shy but happy to be out with a friend and keen to make more of both the two and four-legged variety. A good leash walker who seems to be house trained, she’ll always come when called for gentle petting or a rousing game of fetch and though she likes to keep the ball firmly in her mouth, she’s no guarder and will drop and nudge it toward me when she’s ready for another throw. Exploring is her other favorite ‘game’ and she likes to run her nose over every inch of our backyard pen and give all the street trees a good going-over too. You never know what exciting scents might be waiting just around the corner and Detective Zeppoli is determined to discover them all! She’s a bit too thin yet never grabby with food and like a true little lady she performed very politely on her behavior evaluation (including a perfect score in doggie socializing!) and would make a darling addition to almost any family. Whatever the hardships of her past, this quiet beauty is eager to start the next chapter in her life and we’re both hoping for a happy ending filled with all the treats, tranquility and TLC she deserves.
