I am a female br brindle and white pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/10/2015 from NY 10463, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Basic info dog was found fenced off in a park. ESU had an emergency so they tranq’d the dog and had police bring it in. Pet was unconcious at time of intake.

06/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Zeppoli pulls a bit on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Zeppoli was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. She was not interested in toys but took the rawhide away with a soft body language. Zeppoli was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Zeppoli did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) she is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Food 2. Dog follows the dish with her tail down, body likely a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the rawhide. Dog – dog 1. Dog approaches the helper, soft body, tail neutral, but not playful. Helper: A1039064

When off leash with other dogs, Zeppoli is social, greets other dogs appropriately and will engage in play briefly when solicited. 6/17 update: Zeppoli is social and can be a a bit bouncy. She will engage in brief bouts of play with a social male. 6/18 update: Zeppoli is social and playful, using her paws to solicit play. She engages in running play with a playful male. 6/23 Update Zeppoli engages in push and pull play. She is playful and greets other dogs politely. She offers appropriate corrections. 6/24 update: Zeppoli engages in rough play with both males and females.
