08/30/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Two sisters, two very proper elderly were relinquished into our care for no fault of their own. We are told they grew up together and played very well with each other…They are described as well mannered, friendly and affectionate, good with children (they lived with three very young kids) and other dogs, even frequenting a dog park. Wisdom immediately caught my attention when I arrived at the care center last night. A little triangular face, a muzzle sprinkled with silver glitter, beady brown eyes peering though the door and owl’s ears… Her name….Wisdom….She was a must for me to take out..Wisdom is no disappointment. She is leashed without fuss and walks slowly but surely by my side. Stairs are not a problem for her. She seems happy and wears a large smile. Her tail is wagging non stop. Relieving herself is a must and done in one stop. She meets very cordially other dogs, big and small. The more the merrier. Wisdom is beaming to be in company and enjoys caresses, chats, kisses and even soft treats. She is such a “good lady” who goes with the flow, wants to please and is happy with the tiniest crumb of love and attention you might want to give her. What a great gal she is!!! Wisdom and Layla belong to a home sweet home, not to a kennel where they were left as their owner could not care for her pets anymore…Will you be their hero? We know that older dogs are not forever but love is not measured in time but rather by its intensity. Wisdom and Layla have a lot to give. Come and meet them very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.
