BASIC INFORMATION
Ula is a 9 year old Yorkie that was bred spontaneously within the privacy of her home. Client owns both the mother and father and has been in Ula’s life since day one. Client has made the hard decision of surrendering Ula because financially he cannot continue to care for her as well as the other dogs he owns.
SOCIALIZATION
Ula is a dog that has been raised her entire life with many dogs. She lived with 4 other Yorkies within her owner’s apartment which happen to be her parents and siblings. Her prior owner stated they all coexsisted perfectly and never had any issues. Ula is described as very laid back and affection. Although she has never been around any children, her prior owner doesn’t have any doubts that Ula will do fine within a home with children. Around strangers, Ula is always relaxed and tolerates any handling they try. Ula is said to love attention and she enjoys being off the floor and in someone’s lap. Ula has never bit a person or any other animal. Ula has never been around any cats so her behavior around them is unknown.
BEHAVIOR
Ula is succesfully housebroken. She does not have any accidents at all. She is nervous during storms and fireworks and often hides underneath a bed. ula often barks when left alone but because she lived with 4 other dogs, this was rarely. Ula is very tolerant dog. She allows to be bathed, nail clipped, brushed, picked up, food/toy/treat removed away from her, and isn’t bothered by the action
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW
Ula is very laidback and doesn’t play much as she used too. She doesn’t play with any toys but instead loves a good cuddling session. Ula enjoys eating a mixture of both wet and dry food presented together. She is said not to be picky and will eat almost any brand of food offered to her. Ula does not tug on the leash when walked. She is wee wee pad trained so she does not get walked often at all. Client stated she is free roam in the house and there are days that goes by when she is not walked at all outside.
BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE
Upon intake Ula was very quiet and mellow. She allowed to be picked up, rubbed, and collared by an admissions counselor. Ula scanned negative for a microchip.
When off leash with other dogs, Ula is tolerant of interaction and will offer correction for pushy behavior.
