A volunteer writes: Hello there, new human friend! My name is Tyson and they tell me I’m named for a famous fighter, which is funny because the last thing I want to do is hurt anyone. I’m a year old (which is like, 10 whole years for one of you!) so you can guess how playful and energetic I can be, but did you also know I’m pretty smart too? I understand what ‘come’ means and I can sit and stay (that second one isn’t easy!) plus I take treats super softly and I’m not too shabby with the leash walking manners either. I think I’m what you call ‘house trained’ because I leave my den nice and clean and only take bathroom breaks outdoors and that seems to keep my two-legged friends smiling so I’m happy to oblige. When I meet other dogs my tail does the wagging thing and I love to play with them, even if someone put a silly fence in the way. Why isn’t the whole world one big dog park? When I get older I’m definitely making that happen for reals! Petting and snuggles are always cool with me but sometimes it’s really hard to stay still for them, there’s only so much play time in the day and I wanna make the very most of it, y’know? The nice volunteer lady laughs and calls me a ‘kangaroo’ when I play with toys because she says it’s a funny animal that jumps really high and that’s one of my bestest talents too. You can probably tell by now that I’m kind of a big deal around here and I do love getting attention and playing with all my friends but honestly… I can’t wait to say adios to this Care Center and aloha to a real home! Kangaroos don’t belong in kennels and neither do Tysons so how about you come visit and we break out together?
