A volunteer writes: Tulip takes “itty bitty pitty” to a whole new level! If dogs were ranked according to sweetness density, she would be at the top of the list. She was surrendered as a stray, without the itty bitty puppies she appears to have had recently. She has the most adorable face – the kindest eyes, a nose outlined in a heart, and a mouth that looks painted with black lipstick. She is always very quiet and patient in her cage, despite seeming very housebroken. She is eager to “sit” for treats and takes them nicely. When I throw a tennis ball for her, she prances after it, but it is nearly too big for her to carry! She seems friendly when checking out other dogs in the adjacent pens, and is definitely friendly towards all the people she meets! She is very waggy and affectionate and after a cuddle break does a little tap dance with her paws before we continue exploring on our walk. She has such an innocence about her and seems so grateful for attention – she is the best kind of company! Tulip is already spayed and is ready to be scooped up at Brooklyn ACC!

Another volunteer updates: ‘She’s TINY’, ‘she’s GORGEOUS’, were my first two thoughts when meeting Sadie. “She’s perfect” says her former owner but unfortunately the small, senior resident dog didn’t think so and would snap at Sadie, the young newcomer. As the problem persisted, Sadie is back with us, looking for a new home in which she can thrive. We’re told she’s housetrained, crate trained, well behaved when left home alone, likes eggs and chicken, is relaxed and gentle with kids, prefers large dogs over small, pulls towards cats in the street, knows ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘stay’ and ‘go to bed’. She likes tennis balls and rope toys and slept on a dog bed next to her person’s bed. Sadie is a gorgeous little girl, a pocket pittie in a shiny black coat. Quiet in her kennel she was thrilled when it was her turn for a walk, going potty the moment we were out the door. After our walk to the park we head for the yard, where she chases a tennis ball, sits for treats, joins me on the bench for some snuggle time, and gives me kisses. A delightful gently playful, snuggly little girl, Sadie is looking for a new home without cats or small dogs. Stop by and meet her today.
