His activity level was said to be high, and the owner best described Troy as playful and affectionate. During SAFER Troy did not approach the assessor when coaxed but was receptive to an approach. He was tolerant of some petting but became stiff and growled when an attempt was made to collar him. Due to this response and safety concerns, no handling items were attempted at this time. During the resources portion of the assessment Troy was not interested in any of the items, and did not approach the helper dog during the dog-dog interaction. Due to the concerns seen on SAFER as well as in the previous home we recommend placement with a New Hope partner who recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification to address these behaviors seen and can extensively counsel potential adopters before placement into a permanent home. Food: No interest Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. Turns body to side in relation to other dog.
