I am a male white and black pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 11 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/20/2015 from NY 11205, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Tor was brought in as a stray, so his past behavior in a home is unknown. He was reported to be friendly upon pick up, and was very energetic during his medical exam, but was tolerant of all handling. During SAFER Tor was very active but sociable and interested in interacting with the assessor. He allowed all handling items without issue, and playfully mouthed the leash when playing tag with the assessor. Tor was easily pushed out of the food bowl during the food item, and when engaging with the toys and rawhides his body was loose, and he was easy to handle. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Dog mouths leash in a playful manner Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 1. Dog calmly allows the food to be moved, follows the dish, but does not interfere with the dish’s movement. Dog’s body is soft and loose, eyes soft, tail neutral. He lifts his head when hand is pushed against his cheek. Toy 1: 2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is between you and the toy, and he is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Rawhide: 2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is between you and the toy or rawhide, and he is loose and wiggly. No growling or stiffness. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Tor is very energetic and playful. He can be forward and pushy putting his paws on the back of the other. He responds well to the correction from the other dog.
