A Foster Writes: Hi, my name is Toby. I’m five years old and the most loving dog you’ll ever meet. I’m about 26 pounds, and I love to snuggle and roll over to let you rub my belly. I have lots of energy, so I need someone who can take me on multiple walks a day — and my ideal owner would have a flexible enough schedule that I’m not left alone all day (or be able to hire a dog walker so that I can stretch my legs). Outside, I love smelling absolutely everything and meeting new dogs. I am very well house trained, but I still jump up a lot and beg when I smell food. I’m very loyal and protective of the people I love, and I need some help learning not to get jealous and aggressive when I feel like someone is threatening my loved ones. But aside from needing a little behavioral training, I am nothing but sweet and I can’t wait to become part of a family that loves me as much as I love them.
