Medical Summary scan neg ~10yo, intact male barh. allows all handling, attention seeking. bcs 4/9 moderate dental tartar/gingivitis, nuclear sclerosis ou, no ocular or nasal discharge, ears wnl normal thoracic auscultation; normal abdominal palpation slightly dirty, unkempt hair coat; bruising around prepuce and inguinal region weight bearing RH lameness – no palpable fractures of long bones, pelvis or spine, mild swelling RH a: rule out hit by car vs other trauma — bruising of inguinal region/around prepuce, RH lameness p: gave buprenex 0.4ml IM. rec buprenex 0.4ml IM q12 x 3 days. consider pelvic radiographs of lamenss does not improve in 3-5 days. continue to monitor while at SIACC. good short term prognosis

A staff member writes: Thunder is the happiest and sweetest maltese! He came to us as a stray so we don’t know his history. He possibly was hit by a car because he had a bit of bruising. He seems to be alert, happy and wanting attention however, should still be placed ASAP
