I am a female white maltese mix. The shelter thinks I am about 13 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/23/2015 from NY 10469, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Sweet Candy walks calmly on leash. She was not sociable, and was more interested in the surroundings than the handler during the assessment. Sweet Candy was calm and relaxed during handling. She was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. Sweet Candy was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. Sweet Candy did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is likely crouching, may have long lip or lip lick. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Food 1: No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. When off leash with other dogs Sweet Candy is tolerant of mounting. She is more interested in exploring her surroundings.
