Basic Information
Lola is an 8yr old spayed beagle with no past or current medical issues according to the owner.
Social Life & Personality
Lola is tolerate of kids but doesn’t engage in play much. She is very fearful of other dogs and will keep her distance. Lola will not attack another dog but will flee. The owner isn’t sure how she will respond in the presence of a cat due to never have one around. Lola is an indoor only dog that is house broken. She is described to be friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a low activity level.
Behavior Issues
Lola doesn’t have any guarding issues when it comes to food, treats, and toys. However if she is taken for a walk and happens to find something she likes outside, Lola will be very protective of the item she found according to the owner. Lola takes well to all grooming agents when done by a groomer, the owner has never attempted to bath, trim nails, or anything to that nature on their own. Lola does not like to be held and will try and snap/bite if attempted.
For a New Family to Know
Lola knows all sorts of commands like sit, down, give paw, come, and stay. She went for slow walks on a leash daily and for a minimum of 45mins. She has no interest in dog toys and won’t play with them. When in the home Lola is the type to follow you around seeking attention. When left alone in the home Lola is well behaved and this applies to being left alone in the yard as well. Lola is frightened by fireworks and is terrified. Things like thunder or loud noises she is fine with. Lola was brought up eating dry food and the brand the owner gave was Hills weight control. (Owner explained that she has to be on a diet due to weight issues.).
