Looking for an exercise partner? Looking for a good time? Then stop looking and ‘come on down’….we’ve got the perfect companion for you! Sparky is gorgeous, friendly, playful, enthusiastic and loves exercise. Absolutely gorgeous and well taken care of before joining us as a ‘stray’, his cappuccino color coat is lush and silky to the touch. His tail never stops wagging, he smiles with good cheer, and his eyes sparkle with merriment. He’s likely housetrained taking care of his business as soon as we were out the door, and his leash manners are good. He pulls ever so slightly, but checks up often as we walk, his tail wagging and his eyes smiling as if saying, ‘this is fun, isn’t this great?’ His tail wags at every two legged and four legged person/dog we pass, his manner easy and social. Off leash he loves a good game of fetch, chasing, pouncing with his adorable big paws, and bringing it back for another throw. Treats are taken softly and with a wagging tail. If I’m not fast enough with a treat or the ball Sparky gives me a quick ‘woof’ to remind me he’s waiting. Smart boy! Rocking his behavior assessment with an average rating meaning he’ll be a good fit in most homes, Sparky is hoping you’ll ask to meet him today. He’s looking for an active family with time to play and who can give him all the exercise he needs. If you’re who he’s waiting for, don’t make him wait. Come meet him today!

Sparky pulls a bit on the leash. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Sparky was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. He was not interested in toys or rawhide. Sparky approached other dog with friendly/playful body language.
Sparky did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that he can go to an Average home.
