A Volunteer Wrote: Spade is such a spectacular, ridiculously adorable dog that when–following a long walk on a hot day–he breathed his hot, stinky breath on me during lap time I thought about how much I loved the smell of spring. Weird until you meet this gem, who can turn halitosis into a bouquet of gardenias. A beautiful dog, he walks beautifully on a leash, is delightful with other canines, and stole all of our hearts. Spades is submissive and a bit hand shy–he goes over on his back very quickly–but he is crazy-loving towards people and adores being pet and snuggling in close. This master hugger is eternally optimistic that his true love or loves will come along and prove him right that kindness is everywhere, and we don’t think it’s spring fever that we believe he is right. Please, don’t make his fantastic dog wait a moment more for a lifetime of hugs and a Greenie!
